Artist Statement
My paintings exist in the space between levity and gravity, where colorful spheres float beside balloons, and figures embrace against dreamlike backdrops. Each canvas is a negotiation between joy and weight— allegria con peso specifico.
Working with bold colors and symbolic elements, I create contemporary figurative art that invites viewers to pause, smile, and perhaps contemplate the beautiful absurdities of existence. The spheres represent substance without heaviness; the balloons, lightness that still requires our attention.
My studio practice is guided by the belief that art can be both playful and profound, ironic yet deeply sincere. Every brushstroke carries this gentle tension.
